Okay to tweak IE 7?
Hi guys,
I followed this tutorial here: http://heffy.com/tutorials/ie7menu/ie7menu.html In order to put IE 7's address bar beneath the file menu. It involved a small change to the registry, and although everything seems to work fine, I just wanted to get your opinion - is this an "ok" tweak? It won't effect my web browsing or browser stability? Also, if I want to put things back the way they were, I'm assuming that I just delete the added registry value. Is this correct? |

Looks like you answered your own questions-> "everything seems to work fine"
I didn't follow your link but there have been many similar tweaks published for doing this...

That was after about ten minutes of browsing. I'll play around with IE today and see if anything amiss pops up. I really love Opera, but the darn thing just produces so many little quirky errors that I don't think i'm going to be able to use it as my main browser. So in the meantime, i'm going to try and make IE as "customized" as possible.
