I saw CompUSA selling net2phone software/handset for $50, it also includes $10 phone card which says is 1000 min. worth international calls.
I've red on package, you can make calls PC to PC, PC to phone- long distance, international. It sounds to me too good to be true. Does anyone here using net2phone? Any opinions? PC to PC phone calls have been around for awhile-- MS Netmeeting will allow you to do this and Yahoo Messenger also-- there are probably others. WWW.Dialpad.com is for PC to Phone calls and it is FREE.

What am I interested in is ability to make phone calls from PC to phone in Europe.
I ncomes with a handset that plugs in USB port, software, a $10 phone ccard that promises 1000 min. international calls. Now, it cost me ~$2 a min. to call to Lithuania(from US). And it sounds for me to good. I would like to know or anyone here uses that stuff. Yeah, sounds too good to be true to me too.
Check the fine print, I'll wager it's 50 bucks for the device, 10 dollars for the first 1000 minutes, and 2.95 per minute thereafter... Xayd |

Try www.myfreeld.com for a free local call. You can call PC to Phone to UK and Switzerland and it's free also. The reception is good too.

Well,
I bouth that stuff yesterday, today I returned back to CompUSA. On box it say as a min. requirement: "Win98". I have Win2000 and that stuff does not work with Win2000 ![]() That Co.(Yap) should put on box:"works only with Win98. I actually should suspect that it won't work before byuing it, because handset hooks to USB, and some Co.'s have an excuse not to write device(USB) drivers for Win2000 since they state that Win2000 is an upgrade from WinNT(which didn't support USB), but not from Win98. So, I couldn't even test it. ------------------ Perception is reality ------------------------- Electric Sun Records PC stuff 4 sale |
