Question ie.Select Skin File

Hi all,
Having issues with ie 7.0, What happen is that family member tried to down load pic from relative and installed Fotomat/Viewpoint. After that ie. became real slow. I removed both thorough add/remove program. IE. was unable to open at all. So I went back and restored everything through MS restore program.
Now, when I open up IE 7.0 I get a window asking for " Select Skin File" options is to look through files for skin or cancel. If I don't, it wont allow me to do anything until I close the window. From there it allows me to use ie as usual until I open mail and it pops back up with the same window and choices.
Question is, how do I turn off the window or set it right?
I did try repair ie with Win XP disc, no help.

System is XP home ed. Pent 4, Intel 3.0 ghz. Asus P5Be mb, 2g mem, 2 sata 200gig HD, modem is on board. DvD ROM and DVD RW. Diamond X550 PCIE video card.

Can anyone give me an idea how to correct this problem.
Thanks,
Jim

Uninstall IE7 and see if it works okay with IE6. If so, then you can try reinstalling IE7.

Thanks glc, I had gone to MS web and got the info for removing ie 7.0, it should go to 6.0 after the uninstall is finished, correct. I kinda like 6 more than 7, is there any reason to go back to seven?
Thanks
Jim

I see no reason to use 7. I don't even use 6 unless I have to - I prefer Opera and Firefox.

Uninstall should be easy - add/remove programs, Windows Internet Explorer 7. It will revert to 6, then use Windows Update to get all updates for 6.
