New Mouse, New Shortcuts (I guess?)
Hi!
For years I have been using a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth as my mouse. When I clicked the middle scroll wheel on the mouse, it would automatically open a link in a new tab in Firefox. Unfortuately, my trusty mouse died and I purchased a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000. Which is also a bluetooth mouse. My problem is that the scroll wheel click no longer opens links like it used to. I have gone under mouse setting and tried the various options for scroll click but to no avail. Please tell me, how do I get back my precious middle click option? Have I lost it for good? Thanks! ~JEFF! |

Are there specific features on the new mouse that you cannot live without?
If the answer is no, then I'd suggest you uninstall the bundled mouse driver ![]() Case in point, the Logitech drivers that came with my MX500 exhibited the same problems, but I sacrificed the ability to open the not-so-handy "application launcher" to get the middle-click back. The standard windows mouse driver should install automatically, and you should be able to open tabs with middle-click again ![]() Good luck! |

I have Intellipoint installed for my 4 button M$ mouse - and the middle click works as advertised on links. If I middle click anywhere else, it turns on the autoscroll, that's what the middle click is set to.
