BitTorrent & UTorrent...question

I use bittorrent client and am currently half way through downloading file. If I wanted to switch and use Utorrent, can I then carry on downloading the other half of the same file?

Thanks

As long as you use the same source in uTorrent and point it to save where the original file was saving, it should pickup where you left off. And if for some reason, it won't just use BitTorrent to finish that file before switching.

Know which torrent that u want to shift. Example: knopix.iso
found the original torrent file. something like knopix.torrent
this ".torrent file can usually be found in "\bittorrent client name\torrent\"

make sure the download path of Utorrent is the same as you partly downloaded file.
look for the partly download file.
Rename it to "whatever filename.extension" to "whatever filename.extension.!ut"
ie: knopix.iso to knopix.iso.!ut

[ important: you are just add ".!ut" to the filename ]

open ".torrent" file with Utorrent. ( select Add ->torrent) you found eariler.
click OK.
then right click and select "STOP" to stop it from running.
right click on torrent in window, then select "Force Reheck"
after Utorrent finished "Force Reheck" you should have "50%" finished displayed.
then start the torrent, thats it, utorrent will finish it from there.
