I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and I can not connect to the internet.
I am using the Intel Pro Wireless. I do not want to use that anymore. I would like to use the Windows network wireless. Dell will charge me $129 for this one issue and 280 for a year. I do not want to pay that much. The problem I have is the Intel Pro Wireless keeps refreshing over and over and over again. Which takes up my CPU usage, which causes my computer to freeze. I have already tried to update but to no affect. |

You can right-click the Intel wireless connector icon in your system tray (by the clock) and select let Windows manage my wireless connection. As far as the refresh problem have you tested the wireless device that you are connecting to? Can others connect to it without issue? If they can then the problem could be a driver. It could be a faulty wireless device. If the device is faulty and the computer is not in warranty then you would need to get PCMCIA wireless card.
