Due to some serious limitations and security problems with the IIS FTP component, I'm looking for an alternative FTP server to run in a hosting environment and have narrowed it down to either FileZilla or WarFTP.
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with one or both of the two? Our users don't rely on FTP heavily, but they do none-the-less. Thanks for any input you can provide. |

Another vote for Filezilla.
The latest version adds the much needed Autoban feature, for persistent bots who try to dictionary-attack their way into your server. |

WarFTP is the closest thing you are going to get to a traditional Unix-based FTP server that will run on Windows. Configuration is far from simple though.
