Email Links Using Fire Fox
I have Fire Fox and when I click on an email link to send email it selects my Gmail account. I would like it to default to Outlook Express. How do I change this setting?
Thanks, Steve |

In firefox, type about:config into the address bar and hit enter
Right-click in that window and select new -> boolean Type (or paste) the following into the text field: network.protocol-handler.external.mailto and hit enter. Then put "true" into the next field that comes up. And you're done. That tells firefox to use whatever e-mail program you have set as your "default" mail program. |

Is gmail set as your default mail program then? You'd need to set OE as default if that's to work.

OK I figured it out. I have Google toolbar in Fire Fox. Seems that Google setting within the toolbar is the master setting in Fire Fox. See attachment.
Thanks for your help glc, as always I learned quite a bit talking back n fourth with you. Thanks, Steve |
