Email Links Using Fire Fox

I have Fire Fox and when I click on an email link to send email it selects my Gmail account. I would like it to default to Outlook Express. How do I change this setting?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes I already checked this area. IE works fine and does choose my Outlook Express. Fire Fox chooses Gmail account.

In firefox, type about:config into the address bar and hit enter

Right-click in that window and select new -> boolean

Type (or paste) the following into the text field:
network.protocol-handler.external.mailto
and hit enter.

Then put "true" into the next field that comes up.

And you're done. That tells firefox to use whatever e-mail program you have set as your "default" mail program.

Is gmail set as your default mail program then? You'd need to set OE as default if that's to work.

I did what you sugested and when I change to Outlook Express and select OK I open it up again and it does not save my settings. Goes back to Use my current email program

Not sure why that is happening.

Thanks again but still goes to GMail

OK I figured it out. I have Google toolbar in Fire Fox. Seems that Google setting within the toolbar is the master setting in Fire Fox. See attachment.

Thanks for your help glc, as always I learned quite a bit talking back n fourth with you.

Thanks,
Steve
