Is anyone on adsl and running win2k? i was wondering if and how it works on win2k.

If it's "hardware" DSL it will run just like it would on 98 or NT. If its "software" DSL you need PPPoE software that will run on Win 2000 - and WinPoet sucks. Friend of mine reports excellent results with RASPPPoE, and it's freeware.
