Need graphic design forum site.

Hi, can anyone recommend a forum site like PCMech that would give me some help
with Paint Shop Pro 7 and other graphics problems? I am trying to teach myself to use it and work on a web page for my wifes travel agency. ( Lots of luck, eh ?)
Specifically at this time, I want to cutout a portion of a photo in an existing oval/elliptical shape and delete the rest of the background. Have searched every tutorial on the web that I can find plus the PSP7 help files but this seems too simple to be mentioned. Thanks !

Hi Parangles,

I've always checked this site when I needed help with using an effect in PSP. Regarding your specific problem, you can just use the selection tool set to oval and select the are you want, then invert the selection, and press DEL to remove the background. Hope that helps.

Thanks Doc,
Seems like a good site from a first glance. Will get into it in the am.
The oval selection is opaque ( wasn't originally) and the invert selection is switched off/dead. I'll go through the tutorials .
Thanks again.

To access all of the tools of PSP you have to increase the color depth of your image to 16 million colors.

All the commands in 'increase color depth' are inactive/greyed out so
I can't get any commands in 'effects' to work. If as you say, I have to increase
to 16M how can I do that when the commands are inoperable ?
Thanks.
