problem sending email in outlook 2002

I have reinstalled all my software and set up outlook 2002 as i have many times.

i have windows firewall off, zonealarm free edition on, all setting to allow.

i have followed yahoo's guides to set everything up, input the right port numbers, ticked all the right boxes and i get the following error:

"Unable to send test email: unable to send test email please validate the email address field" i have checked this many times and is correct, i can pick up all my emails fine but cannot send any or get through the test email account settings tool.

i have telnet smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk 25 and it connects, i have used the other ports on SSL 995 and 465 respectively. i have tried the other port they suggest.

i have checked my router and the ports are not blocked and as telnet reached the smtp server i know the ISP isnt blocking them and its not their server.

i can log into my web account online but not send through outlook, i have delted and reconfigured, restarted, have tried all combos and searched every help forum on the issue.

i am sure i had same settings before the last 2 years when it was working fine. i have tried both the .co.uk and the .com smtp servers.

anyone else had this problem or can suggest anything else i can check? i have tried with all firewalls off too.
