Blog Or Not To Blog
We are trying to get a software users group going at work. We have 50 licenses for the software that are to be spread across two business units located in three different locations. All of the servers are in my building.
We're considering setting up an intranet blog for these 50 people to use just like this one to post tips, trick, news, ask questions, get answers. Looking for comments on software that might be required, ease of setup & maintenance, any kind of comments or ideas welcome. We don't want to spam the intranet with 50 emails for every question. Ideas? Suggestion? Is it worth the trouble? ??????? TNX |

You have plenty of options available. You can get a CMS like Joomla, Drupal or Wordpress. With those you can add a forum similar to this one. This one isn't free but check SMF and PHPBB for free alternatives. You can also play around to see which one might work well for you. OpensourceCMS.com has demos of nearly every one setup. Personal preference if you just want a blog, go with Wordpress. If you want a full CMS then use Joomla or Drupal.
