Send a message via Yahoo to toomyg
fqpissed Outlook 5.50

Hello :
I wanted to know if theres a way to setup outlook express 5.50 so that when you
download messages they don`t open until you click on them???
At the moment when I download a message the first one in line open`s up right away.

I hope I can set this up like this because With all these e-mail viruses going around it would suck to have to start the whole system over again???

Thanks for any reply

OE has no way to give you a discretion on whether you want your mail downloaded or read. The only options are to open OE to the welcome page instead of the inbox. but then again the moment you click on inbox you are automatically selected to the first new msg.

The best option is to give Eudora a try. it is a lot safer.

Open the inbox, go to VIEW, then LAYOUT - and disable the preview pane.
