I'm using both Netzero and Juno and I'd like to know if there is a way to create a shortcut to the DUN connection.

In your Dial-Up networking (found in Control Panel), drag your icon to the desktop and select option to create shortcut.

Send a message via ICQ to Gintaras

If you using software from ISP to dial- you can make shortcut from Start> Programs.

If you got DNS #'s and created DUN connection without installing ISP software, you can make shortcut from Control Panel> Dial Up Networking.

Nope - you can't do that with most of the free ISP's - gotta use the dialer.

gintaras - this may work with *some* of the free ISP's, but Netzero in particular *requires* the use of its dialer due to its unique logon procedures - this cannot be duplicated in DUN settings. I have heard of a way to "backdoor" Juno, maybe someone else has this procedure?

Well, at least I was right on the free one I use. Assumed the rest were the same.

Some of these free ISPs you can make a DUN from the information provided by the registration. Usually these temporarily get rid of the banners. Since the banners act like cookies, when the ISP realizes that it's been tricked, you get kicked!
