Post Downloading Problem

Okay, here’s my problem: I am unable to download items (like mp3s, mpegs, etc.) from any site. Until recently, I was able to do so just fine, but now, when I either click on the link or try to use the “Save Target As” function, I get an error that tells me “Internet Explorer was unable to locate the requested site”. Keep in mind that I am not having any problems accessing the actual websites, just the links to get to any of the download items on the page.

This is happening on every site I go to, so it’s not one particular site that is too busy. FWIW, I’m running IE6 and have a cable modem. I ran the IE repair option, but that still didn’t fix the problem.

I’m wondering if this is a problem with my cable provider due to the fact that I get the “unable to locate the requested site” message, but I just don’t know.

Has anyone ran into this before? I don't know what else to try.

Thanks for any advice...

Well I am glad that it worked for you. If you are downloading a lot of Mpeg's and your HD is big enough you can also increase the size of your cache by clicking on settings in the same place.
