Computer restarts when downloading a file from the internet!!!!!
I cant seem to find what the problem is every time i try downloading a program from the internet my computer restarts please help!!!!!!!!!!!

i try downloading different proframs like spyware programs or for example like limewire and as soon as it gets halfway through computer restarts.

Specs of your computer??
Try looking at the temps by going into the bios once it has shut down. You can also turn off the automatic reboot feature of your pc to get a better idea of what is causing it to shut down. To do this, go to start and then run. Type in sysdm.cpl and hit ok. Click on the advanced tab, and under startup and recovery, click on settings. Under system failure, uncheck the box that says Automatically restart. Now when the computer reboots, we will at least have an idea where to start. |

you mean to say that you are still having the same problem even after removing the check from "automatically restart"?
Do you get any error messege before or after your computer restarts? Which browser are you using? Internet explorer,Netscape Nevigator or Firefox? |
