GLC - I took your advice and downloaded and have used it. Would like to try it as my default but have one problem. In OE I was able to click once on Receive All and it would trundle from site to site picking up from various accounts but I can't see a similar facility. I must confess that I am a little overwhelmed at the moment with all the new buttons etc to play with!!

This is possible, but you kinda have to hunt for it.

First of all, set up each account as a separate "identity" rather than using "multi-POP". Make your primary account your default identity. Become the default identity, then go into Tools, Internet Options, Receiving (POP3). Check the box that says "when checking for mail, perform checks for all identities".

This is a very powerful program, but it is very different from most of today's popular clients such as OE, so I would recommend you spend some time reading through the online help sections.

When you install it, you have the opportunity to make it the default mail handler for IE. If this is what you do want, you need to make sure it shows up in Internet Options, Programs as a choice in "E-mail".

Thanks, works well.
However I don't fancy reinstalling so I will just have to open it when I need it rather than make it the default.

Len:

A great thing about Pegasus is you can just reinstall right over the top without affecting any of your settings. You can, however, change the defaults that you are presented with during the install - default mail handler for IE being one of these.

Many thanks. I really do appreciate your help with this and attempts to sort out my original problem which unfortunately still persists and is very depressing.
Very grateful for your time Len
