Question

I am trying to find a utility (free?) that will let me know when the e.mails that I send are firstly received, and secondly opened.
Can anyone help?

Pegasus Mail has the capability to request delivery receipts and confirmation of reading. However, the recipient's mail server and client must support delivery receipts. Confirmation of reading receipts are only possible if the recipient also uses Pegasus.

Thumbs up

I just recently updated my Explorer to the 5.01 SE from the Microsofts page (Have heard some not so good reviews from the 5.05 so didn't want to try it just yet.) Anyway, when I was done I was thrilled to see that the Outlook now as a recieve reciept option and all sorts of E-mail blockers and filters. Awesome! Check it out. And my Explorer seems much, much faster even with several pages, ICQ and Callwave all going at the same time.

Cool

Well Haylo, if you use Outlook Express for your mail program you should check out the Windows Updates Page then. It has the Internet Explorer 5.01 Service Pack and Internet Tools and the Internet Explorer 5.5 both(and FREE, my favorite word). I am a little leary of the 5.5 because of some bad reviews I've read. Seems to be some bugs to work out. But the 5.01 Service Pack has worked great for me and my Mom both with no problems. And like I said, it has all sorts of new options in the Outlook. You can request receipts, block senders and put on filters. The Windows update page is the easiest place to get your software. Just click the buttons follow the directions and your PC does the rest (provided you are running Windows). Pretty fool proof. Don't need to be to PC savy to use it. Not insinuating that you aren't or anything though. But for some of us, we still need easy and the Windows update page is. You don't need to know about directories or anything. Good Luck! And, I am in the middle of the Country (Cow Pattyland I call it) and it has been raining off and on for three weeks solid, so fortunately I'm in good shape here. My heart goes out to those who aren't so fortunate though. Toodle Do!!
