I cannot print from either program. The print screen comes up and I click OK, but nothing happens. After attempting to print I get a small box that says Type 15 error. Also on the printer screen where you click to print, under 'Type' it says "Absolutely Bogus Printer Driver" what's up with that? The printer is an HP 6L- latest drivers and works fine with other programs such as Wordperfect.

I have seen this before and it is freaky. Kind of makes you think you got a virus, but apparently it is not. Not sure what causes it,but go <a href="http://www.magma.ca/~russrite/Canon_Drivers/KB/1998/kb98005.htm">here</a> for the fix.

Uninstall all printer software and remove all printers, telling it to delete files if asked, then reinstall the printer.

Getting stranger. I deleted the 'Absolutely Bogus...' entries in the Registry but now the printer doesn't print at all, it just spits out about 10 blank pages when I try to print. I reinstalled the printer driver but it did not help. The Hewlett Packard site charges $2.50 per minute to talk to a support person or $25. Anyone know what's going on?
