Found this site in CNET. It is called Shields Up and tests the security of your computer while on the internet. The site will test the effectiveness of your firewall and will also probe your computer ports.

Yes that's a great site with a lot of good information. Steve Gibson knows his stuff.

I have just tried out this site with Zone Alarm up and running. It is encouraging to note that nothing could get into my computer; although we are warned that this might not apply in the future.
The great thing about Zone Alarm is that it is free.

If you're not having any problems with Black Ice being a bit flakey...it is good as well. ZA is free though.

I just read that Sybergen (makers of Sygate) has made their software firewall free now.
