FLASH not working

If I try to view flash video, IE (toyota.com) It will say you need to install flash player

I install the latest one with no errors, It still says I dont have it installed

tried all suggested "fixes" i could google up

I tried the uninstaller,
doing it through web
doing it offline
disabling all virus protection progs
restarting
even tried in safemode

There was also something in the regedit to delete, (compatability flags) didn't work

EDIT - If I uninstall it, and go to YouTube, its says I need flash, so I install It, and YouTube works fine, but Toyota.com and other sites wont work, comcast news show video on zidio.com . that site wont work for me either.

I have another comp with IE 6, and it works fine on that comp. so I uninstalled IE ( I had whatever the latest one is) and went back to IE 6, still nothing

only thing diff from this comp and the other is Norton and spware popup blockers, but I tried shutting them all down, still nothing, THIS IS KILLING ME

any thoughts?

nope, still the same thing,

do different websites detect flash in different ways?

can you give me a list of certain sites to go to, to test whats working?

IE: I can watch videos on mtv.com, but not BET.com

Adobe's official test page for Flash and Shockwave can be found here.

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

It *should* detect what version you have installed, if any, and update your install if need be.

And yeah, for Flash, you need to have all popup blockers turned off. I use Maxthon for my browser (which uses the IE base files) and I had to turn off both the popup blocker and the ActiveX blocker for it to install correctly. Have you checked in IE's Internet Options under the Security tab to see if you have any ActiveX permissions totally disabled that might be blocking the install?

The test page works, It says successfully installed and i see the little animation, but still comcast says i dont have it, and zidio.com com wont work (says flash not installed)

all internet security options set to "enable", all popup blockers turned off when installing, Ive even tried installing while in safe mode, I dont think anything could have blocked installation then.

this is sooo Bizarre

I got it to work,

did a windows repair install, went through hell to get THAT going and bringin everything back up to date, but flash is goin now. guess the registry was just too screwy for a proper installation.
