Whice browser do you use and why

Ok hi everyone;

Running XP Home with SP2 system stable on my desktop.

Ive tended to side with MS, Then last year I tried Firefox, despite all the glorification I wasnt impressed I didnt like their new tabs etc: Of course as your aware MS now have copyed Opps cofigured theirs much the same.

So I now have the new MS browser and Im finding it unstable with regular hanging.

So whats the alternatives and why should I give it a go

Welcome to PCMech. If you do a forum search on this subject, you'll find plenty of long, heated debates.

So before any of that can start, and would hope members here would not do that, the answer is, try them yourself. No one can ever tell you what's best because everyone has a different opinion on how things should work. So, check some out: http://www.alternativebrowseralliance.com/browsers.html

There are advantages and disadvantages to every browser in existence. The big 3 are IE, Firefox, and Opera. Apple is trying to get Safari accepted on PC's and Maxthon is a popular IE shell. Netscape and Seamonkey are based on the same code as Firefox.

A statement of facts, not an invitation to start a debate.

Also, don't forget you can run multiple browsers. I run Firefox, Opera, Netscape 4.x, and, since it's installed already, IE. I don't plan on going with Safari yet as the few magazine mentions I've read are not all that favorable.
