Why do search engines ignore certain symbols?
I'm looking for info on the new K6-2+ processor. I generally use dogpile. The problem is it ignores the "+" and only returns info on the K6-2. I've had the same problem with pricewatch and pricegrabber. Any tips? |

Try typing "plus" instead of"+"

Also try putting the search subject totally in parenthesis. IE ("amd k62+"

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I had already tried quotation marks. No luck. It completely ignores the + symbol anyway.
Spelling out plus produced a few hits but misses many articles I've already seen, such as those at Tom's Hardware page. |
