Anonymous browsing
Hi guys. I have a question about anonymous browsing.
I decided to test out torpack, which seems to be called xB-Browser now. It installed well and seems to work. "Seems" being the operative word. It was my understanding that an anonymous browser is supposed to hide your ip address while on the 'net. So how come, when I go to sites like whatismyip or Steve Gibsons test site, my address is reported correctly? Is xB-Browser a waste of time or am I just not understanding what's happening? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this. |
