I'm running 98SE with IE5 and OE5. My ISP is MSN. I have not installed any of MSN's software. I use a regular DUN hookup.
According to this article from the knowledge base on MSN, they don't support NNTP. http://support.microsoft.com/support...-US&SD=gn&FR=0 and since I don't (and won't) have MSN installed, I seem to need access to another news server. How can I do this? The news group I most want to view is news.epox.com [This message has been edited by Sgsteve (edited 08-17-2000).] |

Been there, tried that. To go that route, I need an NNTP server. My ISP doesn't have one. Their article says use their MSN software. NO THANKS! Every time I have tried to use it, it completely FUBARed my system. I've had to format to clean it up.
What I need is access to an NNTP server. Must I have another ISP to gain this access? |
