Tabbed Browsing No Longer Working Like It Used To

I always use tabbed browsing on my computer. Any time I'm doing something I frequently right click on a link and then open it in a new tab. This saves me a lot of time and keeps things organized for me. Unfortunately, a few days ago my tabbed browsing stopped working when I right click on things. I still do exactly what I used to do (right click on the link and click Open in New Tab), but instead of opening it in a new tab it always opens it in a new window. I can still however, go to the top of my internet explorer and open a new, blank tab. I never changed any of my tabbed browsing settings or anything, it just stopped working like it used to. Thanks for any help.

Do you have any tabs open? If so, roughly how many?

I usually only run interent explorer in the first tab and then as I see links that I may be interested in, I right click and open them to tabs.

Did IE run any updates recently? I know with Firefox, you usually have to redo your tab settings when you update it.

No Internet Explored didn't run any updates or anything. That's the weird thing that's got me confused, is the fact that I didn't change anything. It literally worked one minute then the next it started bring up new windows instead of tabs.
