Firefox Vs Opera
What is the difference between the two browsers? Surely they both have different strengths / weaknesses.

Everybody has different preferences but the nice thing about browsers is you have have more than one installed. I have IE, Firefox, Opera, and Netscape 4.x installed. Why not load both of them and experiment?

Nice links, Cricket. Like you I haven't thought about it much; I like Firefox and use it most of the time.

I end up using the new IE in Vista because of the RSS / Gadget support, but when it comes to XP it's Firefox all the way.
EDIT: I didn't realize Safari was available for Windows until after reading that last link by Cricket. I downloaded it and am trying it now. The only complaints so far are that the page font looks blurry to me (even when I change it in the options), and that when maximized my objectdock utility won't pop up.

I use firefox with IE7 as a backup. I've tried opera before and while it seems like a very good browser I don't use it. I don't really like Opera's interface, I'm so used to my Firefox's customized interface I couldnt go to something else willingly.
I don't switch browsers unless something monumental forces me to. I only switched to Firefox to get past IE's parental controls when I was fifteen. |
