internet connection Q?.
hello guys, ok. I was trying to do internet connection. dial up on a system that work with
win-xp pro. but when the moden dial the number to connect, the moden sound like a regular phone, or a open line. and the operator answer, that number can not be dial, etc. I try to get help with the isp support but they can not resolve the problem. I was on the phone with them like twwo hours and at the end they say that they will find some one also to help me end they will call me. but still no receive that all. I check the moden and it is working properly. the configuration I did it like couple times and the same problem, so do you guys have any aidea what happen with this system.

Sounds like you were given an incorrect telephone number to dial in to your ISP server. Is that the only number they provided?

Is the computer located at your house? Or is located at your office where you might need to dial 9 to get an outside line?
