NetMeeting alternative?
Hi,
i'd like to use some kind of program to talk over the internet to my buddy . All of this is PC-to-PC. I'm looking at NetMeeting and i don't like what i see: too many ports open... Is there any other software that does the same thing? Any soft for Linux as well? thanx, |

If all ya want is voice, one of the best I've found has been Microsoft's GameVoice. There's a free download of both the client and server editions on Microsoft's site.
To the credit of those working on this, it used to be unusable through a NAT firewall as well, also required too many ports. They've cleaned it up to the point that it only requires two now, though. |
