I have recently setup internet connection sharing (win2k)(using DSL)via crossover cable. Internet connection sharing is fine, except that I can't download/install the Shockwave player from the client pc. From the download site (Macromedia's website), I get "error detecting internet connection" right after I click the download link. Downloads and installs fine on the server pc.
Second issue, for the last week, I have not been able to connect to morpheus from either machine. It launches fine and allows me to play my downloaded music, but will not connect. My neighbor can connect fine (cable). Prior to this, I was able to connect and download music. I'm running win2k w/ sp2 and IE6. Not sure of the problem or resolution at this point. TH |

Got it figured out (sort of).
Even though I wasn't running Jammer (firewall) during the time I was trying to connect w/ Morpheus, it must of been running a process that was preventing me from establishing a session or it closed the port Morpheus was trying to use. Not sure, but uninstalling it seemed to have worked. I'm running Zone Alarm now and so far so good.
I actually did like Jammer, but since I am going to a router with built in firewall capabilities I decided not to mess with trying to figure it out. |

Did you download and install the morpheus upgrade. If you didn't you wont be able to connect.
