Opening multiple tabs upon browser start up.

Is there any application or add-on that will allow me to open multiple tabs when I open my browser (Firefox). For example, I open Firefox and automatically two tabs open, one that has pcmech on it and another that has some other website on it.

Firefox already opens all tabs that were open when you shut it down, so no add on is required. If you want specific folders to open other than that, make a Bookmark folder with those sites in it and then click on "open all in tabs" in that folder

I tried it and firefox doesn't open all of my tabs. The only time it does that, is if firefox un-expectedly shuts down and then I am given the option to restore my previous session. What I am looking for is something that will always start up the same tabs whenever I open firefox. Thanks.

Try "Tabbroswer Perferences" ... I forgot I installed that, maybe it's one of it's features and not Firefox's. I'm running version 1.3.1.1

Thanks, I downloaded the add-on but it doesn't seem to be the one. I was playing around with the options, but couldn't find anything that would open up multiple tabs upon start-up.

It's worked for me since version 1.5 at least. Which version are you running?

Add a second URL to the homepage textbox separated by a Bar, or open the pages you want to open on startup and press the use current pages button.

Now I'm curious... what does Shift+\ do? I can't get it to do anything with Firefox 2.0.0.7

When you set your homepage to more than one page it uses | to separate the webpages.

So the homepage text box would look something like this:

http://www.yahoo.com/|http://forum.pcmech.com/

Hey, that shift thing works perfectly. Takes a little longer to open up the page, but it is faster than opening the tabs or the bookmarks manually.
