script to determine User Agents

I'd like to modify my site to read incoming UA's and direct particular browsers to a certain page.

Specifically, I'd like to be able to isolate AOL users and send them to an AOL specific page.

Any ideas?

Well, it would have to be javascript based. The problem is not everyone has js enabled in their browsers.

A little problem...

How do I tweak a script to recognize the "AOL" in the UA?

i.e. ( an AOL UA might look like )

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; AOL 4.0; Windows 98)

but, it might be very different.

I need to be able to detect any UA that contains an AOL string.

Unfortunately my knowledge of JS is limited.

Well the UA should always contain the AOL## in the string. It is not always the case it seems though. Question is why are you designing another page just for AOL users. What kind of problem are they having?

I did find this little sniffer script that is the most complete that I have ever seen.
