Exclamation Strange links on web pages?

Hey guys,

Can you please tell me what's going on with my IE. Recently I've been getting strange and unwanted links on my web pages. There are links on some of the web pages were there shouldn't be any, I mean there are links in the middle of the page???

I upgraded from IE5.5 to IE6.0, but that didn't solve my problem.

Have you guys seen this before. If you have any suggestions thanks in advance.

Are you talking about web pages you created or sites you visit? Where do the links take you? Try downloading and running Ad-aware and see if you have any spyware. www.lavasoftusa.com

Could be smartquotes are enabled?
Are there squiggly lines underneath them?
Do you have Office XP?

Exclamation Hi

Hey Kento,

I'm talking about pages I visit. The links take to many sites (Ebay, IBM, buy.com etc). I'm going to download the software on that link and I'll see what ahappens.

Thanks again.

mairving,

If I have smartquotes enabled, how do I unabled them?

There are lines underneath the links , but they're straight gold colored lines.

No, I don't have office XP installed. I'm running W2K.

I have never seen this these stuped links before.

Thanks

How do I load a pic?? so I can show you what I'm talking about. Is there places that will let me upload pics on their servers??

I had the same problem and it's not a browser problem. I think there was little piece of software installed when I tried out Morpheus and Kazaa. I think Kazaa installed it without me knowing it. It would pick out words from any displayed text and link some of them to certain site. Sorry I don't rembemer what the name of the proggy was but just go into your installed software menu and look for something that's not familiar to you and you have not installed.
