arfghh

my "high-speed" cable is now down to 56k speeds. I've been installing/uninstalling firewalls the past few days, and was wondering if that had anything to do with it? I'm supposed to be running at 1500kbps, but now run at 200kbps.

Because of the frequent downtime and slowness of my ISP, i've ordered Verizon DSL. Say I was exactly 3 miles from the CO, and my max download speed was 768kbps, how fast would I actually download at?

thanks

I don't think you are gong to get 768 at that range, my 768 connection( I'm less than a mile away) delivers about 650.
