Flash Movie Text Formatting

I'm passing text into a flash movie by appending a query string to the html tags that embed it in the page.

I want to have some control over how this text is formatted within the flash movie - it allows me to use
for line returns. Can any one give me a list of other formatting tags/characters that I can use?

In particular I would like to have a table within the movie but failing that (already tried html table tags and it didn't work) tabs etc. would be good.

I was also told that html bold tags worked like
but when I try them all the text that is between them comes up white (as its a white background - its a tad difficult to see).

Any help would be very much appreciated.
