Need help with internet search tab

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could help me on this problem.

Here is the problem. It seems a friend of mind was playing with the internet while he was house sitting and called up pages of stuff that I wish my kid not to see or anyone for the matter anyone. The problem is in my homepage and seach engins such as yahoo. Lets say for example you go into the MSN homepage which is my home page and you click on the seach tab, everything that was once search comes up on this tab, same with yahoo and all other engins for that matter and thats the problem.

I want to delete everything in the search engins.

I called my Cable company since I have a modem and they were unable to help me, they said it is internaly in the PC. Another example is this board, for someone reason my name was saved after what I though I deleted everything so why would this stuff come up?

So can anyone help me please? I dont know what to do to get this stuff off my search engins. Both I and the representive from the cable company thought deleting all my internet files would do it, even cookies I deleted and still nothing. What can I do?

Thank in advance for any help

Send a message via Yahoo to dj4uk
To restore the folder you deleted goto Add/Remove Programs select Internet Explorer click the Add/Remove button and then when another window pops up use the repair option.

Try the Tools Menu, internet options, general, clear history and delete temporary files.

Go to each of the search engines, double click in the search box so that it brings up the searches in the box below, move your mouse down to highlight it, but don't click on hit. Hit the delete key. This works on my WinME with IE6, not sure if it works on others OS's/IE versions.

Don't worry about that folder - it should recreate if needed.

In my add/remove programs I.E. is listed as Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Repair Tools, maybe you have it too, just scroll down a little further and see.

If you have never updated IE since installing Windows, it won't be listed.
