Other than SubmitSolutions.com, can anyone recommend good traffic building sites on which I can register a new web site to promote it on the web?

Try looking at some of the resources at sitepoint.com and possibly asking this on their forums. There are *a lot* of iffy businesses like that which will just take your money and run.

Thanks. I have not heard of Sitepoint. You don't have to worry about me spending money on this: at this point I won't spend a penny until I can understand what is possible for no costs.
