ICQ Favorites

ICQ keeps adding a "ICQ" folder to my favorites - I don't want it there but when I delete it the next time ICQ opens it recreates it - can I stop it doing this?

I don't know how to stop this, but you could give trillian a shot, it supports ICQ, aol, msn and yahoo. www.trillian.cc

I use ICQ and Yahoo! and I'd much rather just have one program running the background than two.
Thanks again Mosquito.

icq favorites cleansing

Pull down the Favorites menu. Notice the From ICQ folder? Even if you delete it, ICQ continually rebuilds that folder. To get rid of it once and for all, open Windows Explorer, go to the Windows/Favorites folder, right-click the From ICQ folder, and select Properties. Then check the Hidden box under the General tab and click OK.
