IE7 Issues

Lately I have been having some issues with IE7. One website I go to often hasn't come up in days (I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"). But I know the website is good because I can view it at work. Also some images don't load on another site (Google finance). These issues started at the same time and are both sites I view very often. What could be the problem? I have run virus and spyware programs (AVG and Superantispyware). Any ideas?

Tools->Manage Add-Ons

Some new add on that was installed could cause both of these. You'll have to disable a one or maore at a time to find the culprit

I have not gone through all the add-ons yet, but could my problem have something to do with DNS? If I look up the IP address and go there, it works. Its not that I cant ever access this website, its about 9 out of 10 times I cant. And now a few other sites I frequent are not comin up. Is there a virus or spyware/malware that could cause this?

when I do "Diagnose Connection Problem" I get this response: Windows cannot find the host name using DNS. The Domain server may be down.

Open a command prompt and type:

ipconfig /flushdns

Reboot.

And if that doesn't work, you can always try going into your Internet Options in IE and delete your browsing history. Any time I have trouble with pages loading, the first two things I try is deleting the browsing history and flushing the dns cache like glc said to do. One or the other usually solves it.
