Question internet explorer was deleted...

I have a question. My friend added a dvd player to his system and he was having problems with it about 10 minutes after running it. He was getting errors for a VXD and something about iexplore causing problems. (sorry i don't know exactly what his errors said) Anyways, he take it in to a repair place and they tell him that the problem is with his iexlpore. The repair guy then asks my friend if he knew what it was, my friend said no, the repair guy just shrugged and goes "I'll just get rid of it then and your problem should go away" (This guys get paid to repair computers??!!!!?)
So now he doesn't have internet explorer anymore and he can't go online. So I want to know how to get it back through the windows system files or something. He doesn't have a windows cd, nor an explorer install cd. Isn't there a way to restore it or extract it from a cab or something?? I know a little bit about that kind of stuff but very limited on it. If anyone can help me to help him, we'd both love it!
Thanks for your time.

Go to Radio Shack and pick-up a FREE COPY of the MSN internet service CD and install IE from there.
And if your friend gets the error message, post it here on the forum and we will see if we cannot find the real reason for it.
And, finally as a reminder, any problems or errors the have IExplorer as part of them, the first step is to go Start>Program>Accessories>System Tools > Tools>
Internet Explorer Repair Tool.
