Disable Google search auto complete ?
All of a sudden Google has started to offer suggestions for
searches in a pull down menu, as soon as a couple of letters are entered in the search bar. Very annoying ! How can I get rid of that feature ? These are NOT previously entered searches ie. not history. Please see screenshot attached. Thanks- PS- its Firefox ver 200012 |

I'm not sure if its a function that could be disabled in the firefox settings. But I can say that yahoo was the first to use that feature. I guess google has finally adopted that feature...
It is very annoying. |

Right click on the search box and uncheck the "Show Suggestions" box.

Thanks, I did a few things including Options>Privacy>
Unselect"Remember what I enter in forms and search bar" and it seems to be Ok now. Maybe it IS history. Funny how it just started doing that without my having changed any settings. Cheers |
