Changing the way firefox downloads

I want firefox to download my files with Flashget, but when I click ok, it directly downloads with the normal firefox browser. When I search for file extension handling, there is no option for a .zip or .rar compress file. How do I make firefox use flashget. I tried in flashget, nothing seems to work.

Yes, it has that option. Problem is not if I set a particular file to be downloaded with flashget, then it will not give me the option of changing the method of download infuture

I installed flashgot, and when I want to download a file I get the usual firefox download window with the "save to disk" and the flashgot choice I've used both choices.
