blocking websites

Is there a way in winXP to block a domain?
In otherwords if I wanted to block lets say www.myspace.com
I can put that in never allow in the content section of internet options, but then all someone has to do is go to www.music.myspace.com
so blocking the home/first page does not good

or better yet is there a way to only allow certain domains?
these computers are just on a workgroup, and I dont have access to the main router that the internet comes from.

I haven't used XP in awhile but I think if you go to Internet Tools, Privacy, you will see a button labeled "Sites". If you go there you can add a site to either, allow or block. The easiest way is to copy the address before you go to block it and then just paste it in place.

AFAIK, you can't block it, only restrict security on it, in IE.

You could block it using your hosts file.

That can be easily done by editing your hosts file. See my post here:

Or another solution which might be little expensive for you, is to get a firewall or either cisco or juniper.
