How to make limesurvey work?

I have got up to here until I am stuck. My server does support it. The forums at the site are not meant for total beginners. I have just obtained my first domain and first hostings yesterday. My domain has not even moved the new hostings yet.
What I did so far was just physically copy the unpacked folder into the root folder into my hosting directly. It does not seem to work like that.

Any help to get limesurvey started is appreciated
