FireFox & Winamp Tool bar Problem
Browser will not start up
Firefox does not start after installing the WinAmp Toolbar
Start Firefox in Safe Mode then uninstall the WinAmp Toolbar via the Firefox Add-ons manager ("Tools -> Addons -> Extensions").

I had two days in no mans land before I got to this solution.

It seemed to start after downloading Firefox 3. What ever I did, my profile had gone missing and I decided to uninstall Firefox 3 and reinstall FireFox 2.


I started to get the following message

Firefox is already running but is not responding
and a couple of others, then Firefox wouldn't start up.

It started ok in another XP user on my PC but my foxfire profile didn't follow it.

Please move this to a more appropriate forum if necessary.
