Hotmail Problem

I have just started to get this message (Working on your request) at bottom left of screen whenever i try to select something. I cannot look at any of my items in left column or delete anything or open any emails. I have rolled back computer to no avail.No new programmes added. It was working OK this morning only just started, i have never seen this message before. However i can make and send emails. I use the Classic mode of Hotmail. When the message comes up the egg timer runs forever without anything further happening.
Have just found out that it works on the full version, sometimes i see a flash of the message.
Any ideas as to what could cause this please?

Hi man ..

First of all .. clean up ur cookies ! then try again ..

if the problem still exist .. check ur firewall settings ... check any web protection programs u have ..

if the problem still there .. please post the program u use to browse the net (firefox / IE7 .. etc ) and tell us ur anti-virus or firewall u use ..

Hi Poison,
As far as cookies go i use CC at the end of every day.
Firewall has not been changed for several years.
Normal XP firewall and IE6.
AVG 8

ok .. I had such problem when I installed KasperSky Internet Security 7 with IE7 .. when uninstalled it the problem gone ! ...

try the following ..

1. disable the firewall and the AVG .. (I didnt try AVG yet .. but all what I know that most of the new firewall , anti viurs has such problems )
2 . could be a malware ? scan ur pc using sbybot or ad-aware 2008 ..
3. reset the IE6 to default settings (not sure how on IE6 .. )
4. on IE .. go to Internet Options .. connection .. LAN settings .. tick on "Automatically Detect Settings"

try each tip individually ... good luck

Tried items 1 thru 4, no change. Bear in mind this was working OK yesterday morning, then the problem started at some time later in the morning.
If i use the full version of Hotmail it works OK. I will continue this way until i find a fix.

OK i have found the cause of the problem, it is a programme i have been using for over a year.
It is called AD-MUNCHER. If i stop it running Hotmail Classic runs fine. What i have not been able to do is find what causes Hotmail to fail when i run AD-MUNCHER as normal.. Any suggestions would be helpful as i would still like to run AD-MUNCHER as it works well in stopping all those unwanted ads coming up .

ouch .. I was going to suggest checking ur options on the hotmail options panel ..

I dont know anything about that program u use .. so, Im sorry I have no clue

I have the exact same problem as you. I've been using Hotmail for years now and I dont want to change to a different email. It happened recently, Im not able to read or delete any of my email. I do use Ad-muncher but it never did anything like this before. I turned off Ad-muncher and yet my email still doesnt work. The only way I could read email is hold Shift + left click on the email. I can read but however, I cant delete anything.
