Oh for stupid!

I've tried using both Firefox and Opera. When I come to this site, there is an advertisement that gets stupidly placed right on top of the log on box. You cannot get rid of it either.

Can't even log on with these other browsers. Which programmer should I shoot?

There are a few threads on this...Have to have a screen resolution of 1024X and or going to full screen mode can help sometimes.

Correct - if you do not use IE, your browser window must be at least 1024 pixels wide or you must use ad blocking software. We apologize, but there won't be anything done about it, the site owner is adamant about his ads.

i use firefox & had same problem, but now its working fine.
try download latest updates for firefox3.
if that don't work for you, go to:
tools
options
content
Uncheck enable javascript

the ad will disappear, along with some other irrelevant things.

although i am using firefox 3.0.3 with java enabled & the ad is not blocking the log-in so just try updating ff3 first

I'm using Opera. It's a better browser. And I found an alternative way to log on.
