Error on page

I have a pc in a network that keeps displaying a 'Error on Page' message in the bottom left corner. Some sites work but most will not go to a link within the web site. Some of the sites that have graphics or pictures will not display. I have tried to delete all of the history, cookies, etc. and that doesn't help. I need help.

What browser?

Have you restored defaults?

What antivirus and anti-malware do you have? Have you scanned?

Can you give us an example of the site?

Have you tried to disable add-ons?

Have you updated java and flash player?

You might also want to try firefox to see if that has the same problems.

I also noticed the Java icon on the top in the toolbar is grayed out so I cannot see if it needs updating.

go to www.java.com and verify you have it, and install if needed.

It said I need 6 11 and I tried to download it but it went to the next screen and just sits there w/ a white screen w/ nothing on it. I also noticed I cannot run a defrag on the terminal, so I must have more issuses than I originally thought.

Start here. I know you say you have mcafee, but I would try a different one. Download and install avg, or avast, and then disable mcafee and do your scans.

Do the scans in safe mode if possible.

Also try www.ccleaner.com
