Go to edit/preferences/advanced/cache and clear your disk cache. After that, copy the whole 'users' folder under program files/netscape to your backup, then after reinstalling netscape copy it back over. That backs up everything- emails, bookmarks, address book, all of it

In previous versions of Navigator, the address book was stored in standard HTML format, so it was easy to open it in the Navigator window and select print to save a hard copy of your contacts. Netscape Communicator, in contrast, uses a new binary format for storing contact information. Because of this new format, Navigator is unable to view the contents natively. Thankfully there is an easy way to work around this.
In Communicator 4.0x you can export your Address Book to an LDIF file and print it from Navigator. To do this: From the Communicator menu, select Address Book. From Address Book's File menu, choose Save As. Save the Address Book as address.ldif to the default folder or directory. Close the window and go to the Navigator window. From the File menu, choose Open Page. Click Choose File and select the file you saved (address.ldif). From the File menu, choose Print. In Communicator 4.5-4.61, there have been many improvements to the Address Book giving you many more options for printing your Address Book information. One of these is the ability to save your Address Book information in a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file or a Tab Delimited (.txt or .tab) file, in addition to the previous LDIF file format. The benefit of using a CSV or TAB file is that many applications, such as personal information managers and spreadsheet programs, recognize CSV and Tab-delimited file formats and will be able to import this contact information. Many offer a wide range of formatting and printing options for your data, which will give you even more control over how your data is printed. Due to the large number and variety of such programs, it is beyond the scope of this article to address importing a CSV or Tab-delimited file into them. If you have a particular application in mind you would like to import this data into please contact the manufacturer of the particular application for further assistance. To save your address book as a .txt, .csv, or .tab file and then print it: From the Commmunicator menu, choose Address Book. From Address Book's File menu, select Export. Choose the type of file you want to create, such as .csv, and save your file. Open this file in Navigator and print it out as outlined above. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Or, just do a Find for *.na2, transfer to a floppy and copy to your new profile directory. You should be able to see current profile in Win Explorer, programs, Netscape, users and your name.
