Saving Browser Bookmarks
Didn't I hear of a way...an application that allows one to save all your bookmarks so that you can access them from any PC, anywhere? So I guess they would have to be web based saved right...does anyone know what I'm talking about?
My problem is that I have dual boot XP & Vista and I would like to access all my bookmarks no matter what OS I happen to be using...including the bookmarks on my notebook.

There are some online services that store and synch bookmarks for you. Personally, I wouldn't rely *entirely* on that, as there's always the possiblility of the service going down or disappearing entirely.

For what it's worth Foxmarks works great. Anytime I make a new bookmark, Foxmarks syncs my pc with it's server saving my new bookmark to my online account. Then when I go to my notebook and open up Firefox, Foxmarks again syncs and the newly created bookmark that I created earlier on a different computer is implemented on to my notebook. Exactly what I wanted.
Also I did take something from Chris Prillio's advice and downloaded AM-DeadLink. It found my bookmarks that now point to dead links and it also found duplicates. From there I was able to delete them for a cleaner, less cluttered group of bookmarks. Very cool stuff! |
